About Me

I am a software engineer with a strong background in telecommunications and mobile networks. With over 13 years of experience in the telco industry, I’ve worked in a wide range of roles and areas: product management, network design, KPI monitoring and optimization, low latency services, 5G applications… as well as many innovation projects.

Since 2020, my work has been focused on developing APIs to expose network capabilities to the outside, making mobile networks more open, efficient and interoperable.

In my free time I enjoy developing mobile apps, and I also help promote financial culture through the Bogleheads Spain community.

Network as a Platform

At Network as a Platform, we’re creating an API layer in the public cloud to expose internal network capabilities. We use a microservice-based architecture, with Python as our primary language.

As a software developer in this team, here are some of the tasks and technologies I regularly work with:

Network as a Platform

At Network as a Platform, we’re creating an API layer to expose internal network capabilities in the public cloud. To better fulfill our requirements, we decided to develop our own API gateway, written in Go.

As a software developer in this team, here are some of the tasks and technologies I regularly work with:

Contribution to multiple modules: configuration, handlers, logging, rate-limiting, etc.

X Insight app development

X Insight

X Insight is a cross-platform and open-source app that I developed as a personal project. It is currently available for Android, and it can be used by customers of investment firm Indexa Capital as an alternative to the official app.

Some of its main features:

Visual and intuitive design with beautiful charts
Smooth animations and great performance throughout the app
Native UI elements in both Android and iOS
Dark mode available
Biometrics support
Secure: uses the official API offered by Indexa Capital
Private: Doesn’t collect or store any data

Lead production and delivery of the Network Product Benchmark.
Lead coordination, preparation and setup of all Mobile World Congress demos.
Present Mobile World Congress demos to a wide range of audiences.
Lead multiple innovation projects: Cloud Smartphone, MusiConnect, Cloud Gaming.

Performance Engineer

Work with Vodafone operators across 20+ countries to monitor network performance.
Collect and process KPIs from a wide range of sources: network counters, drive tests, customer surveys, crowdsourcing tools (e.g.: Ookla).
Create monthly dashboards to analyze and benchmark performance against competitors.
Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Create and deliver improvement plans and optimizations for local markets.
Drive knowledge sharing sessions with all markets to identify and promote best practices.
On-site support for local markets when required: Vodafone Ireland, Vodafone Germany.
